Welcome to the Underhill Driving School web site.

My name is Robert Underhill. I have been a Certified Driving Instructor since 1987 and have over 40 years of driving experience. I hold the following endorsements: CDL-A, MC, & PNH.

Classes are held during the school year and we do have Summer hours which vary.

AGE REQUIREMENT:

A parent may begin practice driving with a child at age 15 1/2. You must be at least 16 years of age to get a New Hampshire driver's license. Persons 16 and 17 years of age may get a driver's license only if they pass an approved driver education course. Those 16 or 17 years of age must present a Parent or Guardian Authorization Certificate and a Driver's Out-Of-Class Log Sheet which requires 40 hours of out-of-class driving, and 10 of the 40 hours must be after sunset, with parent or guardian when applying for a license.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

You must maintain an 80% or better average to successfully complete and pass the course. 80% or better on Road Sign test. Upon successful completion of the course, students will go to the Dept. of Motor Vehicle for written and road testing for a NH Driver's License.

TOTAL CLASSROOM TIME:

Classroom: 30 hours
Driving Time: 10 hours
Observation: 6 hours

Classes meet at night and times are arranged at the first class meeting. They will be announced at the beginning of the course. Driving hours are scheduled individually. Driving hours are limited to a minimum of 1 hour per week and a maximum or 2 hours per week.
